Fear of graduates: unemployment
In their latest study, Adecco and Infoempleo bring hope to the youngest and recent graduates, who are
not negligible in a context of unemployment.
The most noteworthy data in this report is that which refers to the work experience required by
companies, since according to the latest analysis of job offers, this dropped considerably. In 2015, the
average requested in most of the offers amounted to 3.42 years, while so far in 2016 this figure has
dropped to 3.28 years. As if that were not enough, 28.01% of the advertisements did not request this
requirement, further facilitating access to employment for recent graduates.
For the rest of the categories, 20.93% of the published offers requested professionals with more than 5
years of work experience; 25.58% of between 3 and 5 years of experience; 18.08% between 2 and 3
years old; 6.14% between one and two years; and only 1.2% of the offers required workers with less
than one year of previous work experience.
These figures can be directly associated with the professional category to be covered, and the
responsibility associated with each position. For managerial profiles, requests for previous experience
were higher than for middle managers, technicians and employees in general.
Regarding location, requests for work experience can be discriminated according to the autonomous
communities where the vacancy is offered. The highest number of offers requesting workers with
previous experience occurred in Andalusia (88.4% of the total), followed closely by Aragon (83.3%) and
Madrid (82.9%).
