An investigation of 11.9 million documents from 14 law firms revealed how the global elite used a web of trusts and ghost societies in places like the British Virgin Islands, Panama or the state of South Dakota in the United States to avoid paying taxes.

🔰King Abdullah II of Jordan
He has spent $100 million on luxury homes in California and elsewhere. According to the publication, the monarch owns 14 undeclared houses scattered across Malibu, Washington and London, which were acquired between 2003 and 2017 through companies registered in tax havens.

Blair avoided paying taxes when buying an office in London by purchasing a 7.5 million euro (6.4 million pounds) building in London through an offshore company.

🔰Miguel Bose
The singer has been associated with an "offshore" society based in Panama since 2016. In particular, he was a shareholder in a Panamanian company opened through the Swiss private banking organization Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) in Geneva.

She transferred her musical assets, intellectual rights and brands worth 31.6 million euros to her company, Turnesol Limited, based in Malta. Shakira's legal representatives claim that her actions did not go beyond any legal framework.

Some victims deny their involvement.
- Czech Prime Minister, populist Andrei Babis denies that he hid money abroad to buy a $22 million castle in the south of France, and assures that his appearance on the list of leaders will only harm him in the parliamentary elections.
- Chilean President Sebastian Pinera also denies that he participated or had any information about the process of selling the Dominga mining megaproject, an operation that was noted as evading participation in the recent investigation of the Pandora papers.

The Spanish Tax Service announced that it will analyze all the data to determine whether to open investigations against Spaniards who appear there.
