Residence permit for minor child (born not in Spain)
This residence permit is applicable for non-EU citizens of less than 18 years old that were not born in Spain and whose parents are living in Spain with a residence permit (one of the permits established by Real Decreto 1155/2024, de 19 de noviembre, or an investor`s residence permit). It is also possible to apply for this residence for a child if the parent`s residence application has already been submitted and is being processed. This residence permit for minor children is granted for 5 years.
Conditions for service provision:
- The child was not born in Spain, but is in Spain now and has not left the country in the last 2 years
- At least one of the parents has a residence permit in Spain (if the other one does not have such a permit, then a power of attorney is necessary) or is in the process of obtaining one
- Stable economic income (a minimum of €10.800 for two persons and 50% of €7.200 must be added to the sum for each additional family member)
- Adequate housing report proving that the accomodation is suitable for a child to live in
- Documents proving the child`s life in Spain in the last 2 years
