Temporary residence permit for family member of a EU citizen (spouse)
The Temporary residence permit for family member of a EU citizen (spouse) is suitable for nationals of non-EU countries who are married to a EU citizen holding a residence permit in Spain ("Certificado de registro de ciudadano de la UE"). This residence gives you the right to live and work in Spain as an employee or as a self-employed worker. It is granted for 5 years.
Conditions for service provision:
- Staying legally in Spain with the spouse at the moment of the application`s submission
- Private medical insurance
- Sufficient economic means: an average bank balance of at least €12,000 over the last 12 months, and a confirmed actual balance of the same amount. Please, note that if you are living in the province of Malaga, then the amount is €31,000. It is also possible to demonstrate regular income in case of an employee or self-employed, the anual amount still needs to be the same as mentioned above.
