Extraordinary mass regularisation

The Extraordinary Mass Regularisation residence permit is intended for non-EU nationals who entered Spain before 1 January 2026, are currently in an irregular situation, and have been living continuously in Spain for at least the last 5 months. This permit grants the right to live and work in Spain as both an employee and a self-employed person, and is issued for 1 year.

Conditions for service provision:

Entry into Spain before 31 December 2025, with proof of entry
Irregular stay in Spain without a valid residence permit, or current / previous application for international protection filed before 1 January 2026
If an application for a new residence permit or for renewal has already been filed, extraordinary mass regularisation cannot be requested
Continuous residence in Spain during the last 5 months
No criminal record
No current or previous residence under temporary protection pursuant to Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382
If not an applicant for international protection: proof of employment / self-employment during at least 3 months, family ties with minor children or adult children who are unable to care for themselves, or a situation of vulnerability certified by the competent authorities
